Something old and something new…

I met a couple awhile back who were new to the area after selling their authentic Craftsman home and retiring. They had put their heart and soul into that house and raised their family in it. Their furnishings and taste were perfect for the Craftsman/Arts and Crafts period, so when they decided to build a new construction home they naturally gravitated toward that style again. They were just starting construction when I came on the job and they wanted help choosing a harmonious palette of colors that would flow throughout the open floor plan as well as advice on how to integrate the colors with other building materials such as wood and stained concrete flooring, cabinets and countertops. They were a dream to work with and had the rare knack of keeping everything in perspective during the construction  process. They were willing to put in the work to keep things organized and moving;  no turn-key operation for them! One always seemed to greet me with a shovel in his hand, working on one thing or another. They really did a wonderful job and I am pleased to show you the results.
