Welcome to my life in color….

This is a place where I will talk about my color design business, post pictures of my jobs and talk about things that interest me about color. This is the funnest, most interesting and sometimes most challenging job I’ve ever had. On the flip side it is the most rewarding and I hope to do it for a long time.

I am currently working on a job for Whitman College, a small private liberal arts school in the Walla Walla Valley of southeastern Washington state. It is a very old and beautiful campus in the way of interesting architecture and beautiful landscaping. They have a number of  ‘interest’ houses that students may live in who share that common interest. You may have seen several of the houses on my ‘jobs’ page that include the French House, the Writing House and the Alston-Glover Center. All are large, lovely old homes for which  I have had the pleasure of choosing the exterior colors. I am currently in the process of working on the Environmental House (lovingly called the Outhouse by the students who live in it) who all share a passion for recycling, green living and sustainability. It is due to be painted in May and I will post the progress.  For now, you can see what it currently looks like (the proverbial ‘before’ pictures.)

This project got put on the back burner a little longer than I had anticipated, but as of mid-July painting is about to begin. I predict it to be a drastic (and much needed in my opinion) transformation…so just be patient a little longer and you will see for yourself!
